The resort has numerous restaurants and bars included in the cost of your stay in one of three unique buildings of beautiful room categories you and your guests can choose from (including one adults only building!). And even better – there are some truly gorgeous wedding venues available to choose from – you really can’t go wrong at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

Wedding Packages at Hyatt Ziva Cancun
There are five wedding packages, and one site inspection package at my favorite family-friendly, all-inclusive resort in Cancun: Hyatt Ziva Cancun. Let’s dive into each wedding package they offer, and see which one is right for you two and your wedding group!
In general, Hyatt Ziva Cancun’s wedding packages are differentiated by the number of guests they include, as well as the actual wedding inclusions. So with each larger wedding package, they increase the number of guests and inclusions.
Pricing for Wedding Packages at Hyatt Ziva Cancun
As you’ll see below, there are multiple pricing options for each wedding package. That’s because Hyatt Ziva Cancun, like many resorts, offers “discounted” (cheaper) wedding package prices on weekdays, and has slightly higher costs on weekends.
The reason is simple: almost everyone wants to get married on Thursday, Friday, or Saturday, and far fewer couples opt for weekday weddings. Their pricing structure offers an incentive to have a weekday wedding!
You’ll also notice that each wedding package “includes” a certain number of guests, and then lists an “additional guest” fee. Typically, you’ll want to choose the wedding package that includes most of your guests, as well as includes all the wedding amenities you want and need. Then you’ll add on any additional guests.
For instance, if you had 25 guests, you would probably go with the Lavish & Opulent wedding package (for up to 20), and then just pay the $127 additional guest fee for the 5 extra guests who weren’t already included in the package.
But if you had 38 guests, you would probably just bump it up to the next wedding package – Luxury – so everyone could be included without adding up more and more fees for each guest.
This will make more sense in just a moment when you see what’s included in each wedding package!

Additionally, note that wedding package inclusions have no cash value. Unused items or services are not refundable or interchangeable, and substitutions are not permitted for any packages.
Now that our disclaimers are out of the way, let’s dive in and see the options, starting first with a site inspection package, and then the five actual wedding packages.
Site Inspection Package: Big Day Preview
If you’re fairly sure you’re going to host your destination wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, but you want to visit the property to be sure, there’s one more package available to you!
The Big Day Preview offers couples a chance to visit the resort, tour the wedding venues, meet with the wedding team, and stay on the property to really experience what it will be like for themselves and their guests during their stay.
While this is totally optional, and many couples do not travel to their resort prior to their wedding, a resort site inspection can be a fantastic opportunity if your schedule and budget allow! Here are some questions to ask during your site inspection visit for your destination wedding.
This is especially important for guests who have a very, very specific wedding vision in mind, or who have extremely specific requirements for food, beverages, or anything else related to their wedding day or their wedding stay.

Big Day Preview at Hyatt Ziva Cancun
This package includes a 2-night stay for 2 guests for a significantly discounted rate, as well as an exclusive resort tour and meeting with the on-site wedding planner.
In 2026, the discounted rate was $600. I imagine that it will be a similar price, if not slightly higher in 2027 and 2028.
Your discounted rate covers your all-inclusive stay at Hyatt Ziva Cancun for those two nights, meaning all of your meals, snacks, drinks (alcoholic and non-alcho lic), activities, resort amenities, and entertainment are all included!!
You will also receive a credit back for the cost of your discounted stay when you book your wedding! Essentially, your preview stay is free if you decide to book your wedding after your stay.
There are a few requirements to be able to use this discount:
- The credit is valid for a minimum wedding cost. In 2026, that was $6,000. I expect it will be similar if not slightly higher for 2027 and 2028 weddings.
- You must confirm your wedding by signing your wedding contract and paying your wedding date deposit within 90 days of your BDP visit.
- The credit only applies to weddings booked at the exact same property: Hyatt Ziva Cancun. (it would not carry over to a different Hyatt Ziva location like Punta Cana, Los Cabos, Puerto Vallarta, or elsewhere)
- They do not allow you to combine this credit with other promotions
How to take advantage of the Big Day Preview
The best way for you to properly secure your Big Day Preview and the subsequent credit earned if you do choose to book your destination wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is to work with a travel agent.
Your destination wedding expert travel agent will be the best person to know who to contact, how to schedule your stay, and how to ensure you receive your credit once you book your wedding at the resort.
Please DO NOT just book two nights at the resort, and then hope to receive a meeting with the resort team, and a discount and credit upon arrival. There is a specific process to follow in order to utilize this site inspection package at Hyatt Ziva Cancun.
Just for the Two of You
The first wedding package at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is the smallest, and is exclusively for the wedding couple – no guests. This is the perfect wedding package for an elopement!
If you’re looking for an incredibly intimate ceremony with just you and your new spouse, this is the perfect wedding package for you!
Just for the Two of You includes:
- Symbolic marriage ceremony and certificate, performed by a secular, bilingual wedding officiant
- Bouquets and/or boutonnieres for the couple
- Sparkling wine toast after the ceremony
- Signature wedding cake
- Decoration of the couple’s room with rose petals and sparkling wine
- Late checkout for the couple, up to 3 pm (pending availability)
- On-site services of a professional wedding specialist – the resort team will help you plan your big day!

Can You Have a Free Wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun?
Yes, you can technically earn a “free wedding” at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, but there are several strict requirements, based on which wedding package you are hoping to get for free.
Regardless of which wedding package you choose, all free weddings at Hyatt Ziva Cancun must be scheduled Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday at 10:00 am local time.
Let’s look at each wedding package, and what its specific requirements are to earn it for “free”:
Just for the Two of You, for free:
To earn the Just for the Two of You wedding package free at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, the wedding couple must stay at the resort for a minimum of 7 nights in a qualifying room category (must be in the Club or Turquoize towers).
Intimate Elegance, for free:
To earn the Intimate Elegance wedding package free at Hyatt Ziva Cancun, your group must stay for a minimum of 25 room nights in qualifying room categories (must be in the Club or Turquoize towers)
To calculate the room nights your group accumulates, you’ll multiply the number of rooms booked by your group, by the number of nights booked. For example, 5 rooms staying 5 nights each = 25 room nights.
Or if you have 7 rooms staying for 3 nights each, and 1 room staying for 6 nights, that would be 27 room nights.
Preferred Vendors at Hyatt Ziva Cancun
Hyatt Ziva Cancun, like all resorts, already has an excellent working relationship with most of the wedding vendors you’ll need for your dream destination wedding! They have florists, DJs and other entertainment, audio-visual services, photographers, videographers, hair and make-up artists, and more, all on their preferred vendors list.
Their list of preferred vendors already knows the property well (photographers know the best spot for those golden hour wedding photos! DJs know where to set up equipment out of the way and for the best acoustics, etc), communicates with the property regularly, and the resort already trusts them. (this is big from a liability standpoint!)
For this reason, the resort strongly recommends that you work with one of their preferred vendors.
Aside from the resort just trusting them, it will also make things easier for you during the planning process. No need to do extra research to find the right vendors who know the property – you already have them!
Plus, no need for big email chains between you, the vendors, and the property, trying to set up logistics for your wedding day. They already work together seamlessly.

Outside Vendor Rules
Hyatt Ziva Cancun used to charge an outside vendor fee of $1,000 per service, per day.
Unfortunately, in 2026, they implemented a rule about no outside vendors – they no longer allow them.
The resort does work with wonderful vendors, which is the good news!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun Wedding Packages FAQ
Unfortunately no, you cannot modify or swap any items included in your wedding package. Nor can you receive a discount or refund for any unused items. They have no cash value, and cannot be traded at all.
It’s completely fine if you do not want everything that is included in a wedding package, but the pricing will not change
Hopefully you’ll work with your travel agent to estimate the size of your wedding group. Typically destination wedding couples can expect 50-60% of their invited guests to actually attend their wedding.
However, if your estimated number of wedding guests increases dramatically, to the point where it no longer makes sense to stick with your smaller package, the resort will probably let you upgrade to the next biggest size.
It is very unlikely that the resort will allow you to downgrade to a lower wedding package, so it’s best not to overestimate in the beginning.
Honestly, this is a question with a case-by-case answer. I’m happy to help you make this decision while we plan your destination wedding!
However, the generic answer is that you’ll probably want to pick the wedding package that’s closest to your guest count, then add any extra guests, if necessary.
If you have 24 guests, it probably makes sense to choose the Lavish & Opulent package that covers 20 guests, and then just add 4 more.
But if you have 36 guests, it probably makes more sense to choose the Luxury package that covers 40 guests.
Remember, you won’t receive any refunds for any unused amenities, but you’ll know that everyone and everything you need is covered by that larger package.
This depends on your wedding vision, group size, and budget!
Each package is designed for a different size of wedding, which is my favorite way to choose a package.
If your proposed wedding size is right between two package sizes, then it makes sense to look at the inclusions and see what is most important to you, and choose accordingly.
A symbolic wedding ceremony is one that is not legally binding, and therefore does not have to adhere to strict regulations.
Most destination wedding couples choose to get legally married at home before their destination wedding, then have a symbolic ceremony in destination.
This is an easy way to save time, effort, and money, while also being able to have your wedding look, feel, and sound exactly the way you want it to. (no requirements of having your wedding ceremony and paperwork in Spanish, doing blood work, paper work, or anything else)
Alternate wedding ceremony types include legal and religious.
Yes! Hyatt Ziva Cancun offers a “Big Day Preview” package that allows you two to stay for 2 nights at a heavily discounted rate, meet with the wedding coordinator, tour the resort and wedding venues, and enjoy an all-inclusive stay.
If you choose to book your wedding at the resort after your Big Day Preview (within 90 days, and if you meet the requirements), you will receive a credit toward your wedding costs, for the amount you paid for your Big Day Preview.

If possible, it’s best to book your wedding package 12-18 months in advance.
