How to Refer Engaged Couples

Want to learn a little more about me, what I do, who I help, and what makes me a great destination wedding travel agent? This is the place to go!! Yes, I’m a human (not another AI chatbot or OTA nonsense!) I’m a human, who exclusively plans destination wedding travel, only for the number of groups I can personally handle with the care and customization each one needs!

This is a good place to send your friends if they’re growing weary of the research stage of deciding on a destination wedding, and want to know an expert is on their side!

This page houses my different destination wedding couples’ wedding websites, aka the one-stop-shop for destination wedding guests. I build these beautiful sites for each of my couples so that they can link to the site instead of answering zillions of questions! It shares all the most important information about the resort the couple has chosen, which room categories are available at what prices, details about their chosen destination, such as things to do, what airport to fly into, etc., and a booking form so wedding guests can book their rooms right there! (Please don’t book a room in someone else’s wedding room block!!)

The first step I always, always, always take with my couples is to hold a complimentary consultation call (phone or video) where we get to know each other, I learn about the couple’s wedding vision, research thus far, ideas, must-haves, guest list, budget, and more! I also share more about what they can expect when working with me, the process, my planning fee, and what services I provide to make their destination wedding plans a stress-free reality! Then if we collectively feel like we’re a good fit for each other, we’ll talk about next steps and how to start the process of planning their dream destination wedding!

I’m a certified destination wedding specialist travel advisor (aka a destination wedding travel agent) - I exclusively plan destination weddings at all inclusive resorts in Mexico and the Caribbean. This means I work on weddings daily, and know room block contract terms like the back of my hand! (they can be complicated, which is why you’ll want a specialist to work on this foryou!)
I’ve visited the resorts and know which are incredible, great, just fine, and should-be-skipped! And the same goes for the resorts’ wedding teams themselves; they’re definitely not all created equally! Plus, I’ve visited and experienced various wedding venues around these destinations as well, and can help pair couples perfectly with a destination, resort, and venue that best matches their wedding vision, budget, guest count, and other preferences!! (it’s kind of my super power!)

I provide personalized service; but really. Sure, plenty of companies SAY they provide personalized service, but not all truly do. Some of the ‘big box’ companies (I won’t name names, but you can tell, just from a quick google search, usually ;) ) tend to take on entirely too many weddings each year, which stretches them thin. Sure, they’ll book your guests’ rooms, but will they take time to answer their questions? Hold your great-aunt’s hand as she asks her dozenth question of the week about her first international trip? Probably not. Those guys work for quantity, not always quality, and my business couldn’t be more different! 

Rather than push couples toward one of four resorts I work with on dozens of weddings a year, I take lots of time to understand the couple, their preferences, the needs of their guests, and then curate a list of resort recommendations for them to choose from (or give feedback on for a second round if necessary!). 

I always remind my destination wedding couples; I don’t work for the resort; I work for you! So at every turn, my services are personalized and my couples are handled with the utmost care, respect, and attention. Every suggestion is made with their best interest in mind, and every action I take is in service to them, their guests, and their wedding experience!

Unlimited Referrals

This is by far the easiest referral program you’ll work with; all you do is refer someone (maybe a friend, family member, colleague, or internet rando ;) ) to Tailored Travel Experiences. If they officially sign and deposit a room block contract with me for 10 or more rooms, you’ll receive your $250 referral fee! That’s it. Really!

You can request a check, Amazon gift card, or Visa gift card, and I will send that to you as soon as the couple’s room block contract is signed and deposited! 

One important thing to remember: make sure that the engaged couples you refer to Tailored Travel Experiences for a destination wedding let me know that you referred them! There’s a question about this on my intake form when they schedule a complimentary consultation call to start the process, or they can let me know any time before they finalize their room block contract. Sometimes it’s best to copy both them and me (allison@ttravelex.com) on an email together to introduce us; that way I’ll definitely know you sent them!
