So you’re engaged (or soon-to-be engaged!) and interested in planning a destination wedding? Awesome, you’re in the right place!

Destination weddings are technically just weddings that happen somewhere different from where you live.. But I happen to be an expert in destination weddings that take place in Mexico and the Caribbean (and a couple of other nearby places!)

So, as an expert who’s literally been there and done that, I wanted to offer you my TOP locations for destination weddings – let’s dive into my top 7:

Bahamas

It’s iconic for a reason. The clear blue water and sunshine for days are just the beginning in the Bahamas. From ‘da local culture, ‘mon, to outstanding resorts and stunning beaches, there’s so much to love about the Bahamas! (and don’t forget to get your picture taken while swimming with the pigs!)

Costa Rica

Rainforest canopies, volcanic mountain backdrops, zip lining adventures, exotic birds, beautiful beaches, and too many adventures to count. Costa Rica has it all, and I just LOVE sending destination wedding couples to this captivating nation to tie the knot!

Curacao

For well-traveled groups looking for something different, those heavy into local culture, or for the couples who want to get married during the infamous “Hurricane Season” – Curacao couldn’t be a better place!! 

This adorable and historical little island puts the C in the “ABC Islands” and checks every box. The beautiful beaches and picturesque towns are another plus!

Dominican Republic

If you’ve been dreaming of your wedding photos on the soft, perfect sand, and lovely blue water – the DR is probably the spot for you! With beaches for days, adventures around every corner, and unparalleled fun in music, dancing, and partying the night away, I absolutely LOVE planning weddings in the Dominican Republic. 

East Coast Mexico 

With so many resorts in this beautiful region, there is quite literally something for everyone!! From Costa Mujeres to Cancun, Riviera Maya, Tulum, Cozumel, Isla Mujeres, there are HUNDREDS of resorts in the Eastern region of Mexico.

I love the blue water, white sand, and cenotes!! There is no limit to your wedding vision in this diverse and astoundingly beautiful destination!!

Jamaica

Jamaica has been a long-time top location for destination wedding couples, and it’s no surprise! The food is incredible, the vibe is ISLAND, the people are friendly, and the beach views? Phenomenal!

There are several regions in Jamaica that are just perfect for destination weddings, and each has its own set of lovely resorts to choose from!

West Coast Mexico

The west coast of Mexico is a gorgeous destination for a wedding! Though the water and beaches are quite a bit different from the opposite coast, the mountain, dessert, and jungle views bring a completely different vibe to this side of the country!

This is a fabulous place to EAT, as well as to get married! IYKYK
