This is one of my top favorite resorts for destination weddings, with eight stunning wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun! There are so many gorgeous spots to tie the knot. From rooftops and terraces to private gazebos, fire pits, a garden, the beach, and a unique seaside gazebo featuring Cacun’s only lighthouse in the background. 

You simply cannot go wrong with any of the wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

I love each of these venues for different reasons, but one big one that applies to all the venues is that they’re capable of serving 100-200 wedding guests, making them great for big groups! And at the same time, they’re also well suited to smaller wedding groups. So they can be set up to meet your needs, but not just feel like 30 of you are swimming in a too-big venue. I love, love, love Hyatt Ziva Cancun’s wedding venues!

Let’s dive into the different venue options for your destination wedding at this family-friendly, all-inclusive resort in Cancun.

Wedding Ceremony Venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun

Hyatt Ziva Cancun offers a wide variety of wedding venues! Whether you want beach, garden, terrace, rooftop, or ocean views, they’ve got you covered!

I especially love that nearly all of these venues are absolutely beautiful on their own. 

So if you’ve got a minimalist wedding vision, or just want to stick to a budget, there are some beautiful options that don’t require lots of extras to make it gorgeous!

But at the same time, each of these venues can be dressed up as much as you wish to completely match any wedding vision!  I’ve seen some truly elaborate, and totally stunning wedding set ups here!

The wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun are super versatile and oh so beautiful! Let’s look at each of them.

Turquoize Lawn

Maximum capacity for wedding ceremony: 100 guests

If you’re looking for a garden space for your destination wedding, the Turquoize Lawn is perfect! It’s located in front of the Turquoize Building (the adults only building) and is a lovely, green wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

This space is green and beautiful, and provides a great “blank canvas” on which to build your dream wedding! You can have your ceremony here, and then move to another gorgeous venue for your wedding reception. 

I love that the Turquoize Lawn is both centrally located, and slightly tucked away. So the venue is easy to get to, but won’t have lots of foot traffic in the background.

There is a wedding arch available for use at the Turquoize Lawn. However, it is not automatically included in the cost of the venue.

Cliff Gazebo

Maximum capacity for wedding ceremony: 200 guests

The Cliff Gazebo is probably my one of my favorite wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!  It is a lovely little gazebo, sure. And yes, it provides a focal point and a bit of shade for you and your fiance as you say “I do.”

But my favorite part about this destination wedding venue is the ocean view in the background!!

Hyatt Ziva Cancun has stunning views of the turquoise ocean. The Cliff Gazebo here is my FAVORITE ocean view wedding venue in all of Cancun. This is because its view is so gorgeous and is completely uninterrupted! This is a huge deal!! All beaches in Mexico are public. Therefore, resorts are not able to stop people from walking behind your wedding ceremony or photos on the beach.

But the Cliff Gazebo at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is special. There is absolutely no space for any people to walk behind the Cliff Gazebo. Score!

This means it’s just you and your forever wedding date, tying the knot, right in front of the water, UNINTERRUPTED.

No “speedo guys” in sight! What a dream!!!

Again, this wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is easily accessed, but is not in the middle of the action. So there’s not a lot of foot traffic around the venue. And there is NO foot traffic behind it! The best of both worlds!

Lighthouse Gazebo

Maximum capacity for wedding ceremony: 150 guests

This wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is another of my favorites, because it is also uninterrupted by fellow vacationers, and it has the famed lighthouse in the background!!  For those couples looking for a beachy vibe with an ocean view, but want something a bit unique – this is the venue for you!

There’s a beautiful structure in front of the water and the lighthouse, which can be decorated if you want. The lighthouse itself is beautiful, and adds a lot of depth to your beautiful wedding photos.

I visited during a wedding set-up process, so just imagine if the decor was completely filled in!

Again, this destination wedding venue is right at the tip of the peninsula. This means there will be no one walking through your photos! I looooveeee the Lighthouse Gazebo for destination weddings at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

Sahara Beach

Maximum capacity for wedding ceremony: 200 guests

The Sahara Beach wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is a gorgeous place for a destination wedding ceremony! 

This wedding venue sits on the Cancun Hotel Zone side of the Hyatt Ziva Cancun beach, providing a beautiful backdrop for your ceremony. I also think the Hotel Zone adds lots of depth for your wedding photos! This beach has beautiful white sand and blue water, and views for days!! 

This beach is absolutely gorgeous, and it is at the farthest end of the Cancun Hotel Zone. But it is important to note that the beach is public. There are often lots of tourists, locals, and “vendors” out on this beach most days. I’d be lying to you if I said this was a quiet, empty beach. Though the traffic does die down a bit in the evenings.

There are some beautiful wedding structures available for use at the Sahara Beach venue, but they are not automatically included. The structure of your choice can be added to the beach for your ceremony for an additional fee.

NOTE: There are federal fees in Mexico for events on the beach, based on the number of guests at your event. The fees range widely from $500 (up to 30) to $2,100 (141+ guests)*. *subject to change based on Mexican law.

Wedding Reception and Cocktail Hour Venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun

These venues can be used for the cocktail hour and reception of your destination wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun.

I absolutely love the different options available for your wedding party!! Let’s dive in:

Firepits

Maximum capacity: 50 guests

The Firepits are a gorgeous wedding reception venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun with a stunning ocean view. Up to 50 guests can enjoy your wedding party around actual firepits. Whether you’re looking for string lights, a dance floor, round tables, and a rowdy party, or if you prefer a low-key daytime affair, there are some gorgeous options for wedding reception set ups at this wedding venue!

I love, love, love that the firepits are out by the dock and the water, surrounded by palm trees. The view is absolutely unbeatable!  My recent wedding at Hyatt Ziva Cancun had their reception at the Firepits, and it was a stunner!!!

Note that wedding receptions at the Firepits must end by 11:00 pm.

Sky Terrace

Maximum capacity: 180 guests

This beautiful wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun overlooks the resort and the beautiful, blue ocean! 

The Sky Terrace is a great option for those who want an outdoor wedding reception, but want to be covered in case of rain or strong sun. (and the sun is always strong in Mexico, let me tell you!!).

It’s a truly beautiful space with a stunning view. I love the natural touches of wood that really elevate this seemingly basic space. The view alone can carry the whole venue, but if you want to include some great decor, lighting, and florals, the Sky Terrace can really shine!

Note that wedding receptions at the Sky Terrace must end by 10:00 pm.

(But don’t worry, there are bars and a night club for those who want to keep the party going even later!)

Sahara Beach

Maximum capacity: 200 guests

Again, the Sahara beach is a beautiful venue with a lovely view – and it’s the one wedding venue at Hyatt Ziva Cancun that can be used for both your wedding ceremony and reception!

There are so many ways to set up a gorgeous wedding reception out on the beach!  Whatever your wedding vision is for a beachy wedding reception, Hyatt Ziva Cancun can make it happen at the Sahara beach venue!

Note that wedding receptions at the Sky Terrace must end by 10:00 pm December through March, and 9:00 pm April – November. And again, there is a federal fee involved for holding events on the beach, based on the size of your group.

Rooftop Terrace

Maximum capacity: 200 guests

Another one of my favorite wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is the Rooftop Terrace! This large venue can hold up to 200 guests, and offers stunning, unobstructed views of the beach and ocean.

This is a truly stunning terrace! It even has a few, small palm trees to keep the tropical vibes going, even up high! I love, love, love the Rooftop Terrace for outdoor wedding receptions at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. It just doesn’t get better than that!!

Note that wedding receptions at the Rooftop Terrace must end by 10:00 pm.

Ballrooms

Maximum capacity: 200 guests

Lots of destination wedding couples want to have an outdoor ceremony, but then head indoors to party in the air conditioning! This is especially true for groups containing young children or older guests. Or for wedding couples who just don’t want to sweat through their wedding attire and makeup!

The ballroom wedding venues at Hyatt Ziva Cancun are fairly standard ballrooms in that they can accommodate a group of any size. If you’ve got a huge group, great! There’s plenty of space! But if you’ve got a smaller group and don’t want to feel like you’re a small group drowning in a huge room, they can divide the room for you, too!

Their carpet is definitely exciting, and they’ve got some unique artwork and lighting, so you don’t just feel like you’re in a “conference room” type of space.

And of course, the space is infinitely flexible for your decorations, so you can pull off any wedding vision you choose! 

I know the thought of a ballroom isn’t the sexiest, especially when you’re surrounded by such stunning scenery! But if your outdoor wedding event gets moved inside due to weather or if you just really need to accommodate your group by having air conditioning during your reception, the Hyatt Ziva Ballrooms really can turn into a beautiful destination wedding reception venue!

There is no required end time for receptions in the ballrooms, as they are indoors! If you’re looking for a long wedding reception, and want to party late into the night, a ballroom may just be the venue for you!
