Are you attending a destination wedding with me, here at Tailored Travel Experiences? YAY!! I love helping engaged couples plan dream destination weddings, and helping their friends and family travel to a beautiful location to celebrate their love!!

One of the biggest questions I am asked by destination wedding guests and couples is if there is a payment plan for the trip. And the answer is a resounding YES!

There is absolutely a payment plan for destination wedding guests.

How the Payment Plan for Destination Wedding Guests Works

The Tailored Travel Experiences payment plan for destination wedding guests is very simple!

Here’s how it works:

  1. You book your room, using the booking form found at the bottom of the wedding website for your group. (Find Your Group Here). This must be done before the RSVP deadline for your group.
  2. I will send you an invoice via email. You’ll review and confirm the details, and decide if you want insurance or not. (if not, I’ll send you an Insurance Declination Waiver to sign, confirming you don’t want it.)
  3. You’ll submit your deposit payment (with the cost of insurance, if you do want it) using the Payment Form Here.
  4. I will send you a receipt for your payment, and confirmation of your booking. Your invoice will always have your confirmation number, the final due date, and your current balance. Each month, my system will send you an automated email reminding you of your current balance and the final due date.
  5. You have until that final due date to pay the full balance on your trip. You’re welcome to pay over time however you wish.
Some folks pay monthly or bi-monthly. Some folks pay all at once. Some folks pay random amounts after their bills are paid. There’s no wrong answer. You just need to pay your balance by the due date.

In short, between the RSVP deadline when you book your room and pay your deposit, and the final due date for your reservation, you can do whatever you want.

Simply authorize a payment for any amount anytime you wish to make a payment. I will process that payment for you, and send an updated receipt each time you make a payment.

Super easy.

The wedding couple will not be keeping track of your balance – I handle that for them.

They can simply see whether you’ve paid your deposit, and whether you’ve paid in full. I handle the rest!

Due Dates Depend On The Wedding Date

When is the due date for your final payment, destination wedding guest?

Well, that depends on the wedding date and your travel dates.

For most room blocks, destination wedding guest final payments are due ~4 months prior to the wedding date.

While this feels early, you’ve got to remember that the destination wedding couple is planning their wedding based on the number of confirmed (read: paid in full) guests that they will have on-site. So it’s imperative that they know well in advance how many guests they will have, in order to finalize all of their wedding plans, details, orders, payments, etc.

How to Make Payments as a Destination Wedding Guest

Making payments as a destination wedding guest is super easy!

You’ll use our SECURE PAYMENT FORM linked here and also available down below.

It will ask for your confirmation number. Use the Confirmation Number found at the top right corner of your invoice.

You’ll authorize a payment for whatever amount you wish.

Just be sure to double-check ALL the details you enter in the payment form (especially if your computer tends to auto-fill some boxes). Some common typo errors I see are:

  • Incorrect card type (Visa instead of MasterCard, etc.)
  • Only using a 3 digit CVV for an AMEX card (they use 4 digits)
  • Incorrect address for your card (please, please double-check this!!)

Once you’ve double-checked all your details, you’re all set to submit your payment authorization!

I will be notified that you authorized a payment, and within 2 business days, I will manually process that payment for you. Then I’ll update your invoice to reflect your payment and new balance, and send you an update!

Super simple.

To save you a click, I’ve embedded the payment form below.

Do You Store Card Information Or Make Automatic Payments?

Absolutely not. To comply with all laws and card company policies, and generally to make everything as transparent as possible, we NEVER store your card information and we NEVER auto-charge your card for any final payments.

Each and every time you wish to make a payment toward your trip, you will follow the directions above, and authorize a payment for the amount you wish to pay.

This also makes it easy to use more than one card to pay for your trip!

Can We Pay With More Than One Card?

Yes! You’re welcome to pay for your trip to the destination wedding with more than one credit card.

I do ask that your INITIAL deposit just be paid with one card. But after that, you and any roommates in your reservation can make payments with whatever credit cards you wish to use.

I often have roommates pay for their own portion of their stay with their own, separate cards. That’s totally fine.

(Alternately, one person in a room can pay, and their roommates can pay them back separately, via Venmo, Zelle, cash, etc.)

I just ask that if you do pay with more than one card, that you double check that the information you are providing for each payment is accurate FOR THAT CARD ACCOUNT. It’s no fun for me to have to email you to correct an address, expiration date, or other details. The system works very smoothly if you submit all accurate details from the start. ☺️

How to Refer a Friend (and make $250)

Or, if you have a friend, relative, or co-worker who you think would be a great fit to work with me, I’d love to help them, too! And in fact, I have a referral program that pays $250 per booked wedding that you refer to me! (unlimited!!)

You can send them to that same link to book a call, and just be sure they let me know you sent them!

Then once they decide to work with me, and after we put a deposit down on a room block, I will send you a VISA gift card for $250.

I would absolutely rather get personal referrals from folks I know and pay them for their kindness, than pay Meta, Google, or any other corporate overlords, and I thank you in advance for considering passing my name along!
