There are 9 fabulous restaurants at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, offering a wide selection of international cuisine, beach grilled snacks, late-night food, and more, with both buffet and a la carte options throughout the day.
As you know, most all-inclusive resorts include unlimited dining, beverages, and more. At this beautiful resort, you’ll have more than enough options to satisfy your cravings! In fact, you may even want to go for a second round of dinner, just to make sure you’ve had the opportunity to try everything! (I’ve seen that very thing happen at this very resort! 🤭)

Restaurants at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres
Il Botaccio
This Italian restaurant offers fine Italian dining for an a la carte dinner for all guests. But during breakfast and lunch times, it serves a la carte meals exclusively for Elegance Club guests.
The dress code here is Evening Chic (men can wear long shorts here if they wish)
Don Juame
Looking for a steak house? This Argentinian style steak house offers some of the best cuts of beef, imported from the US and Argentina, and offers a fine dining experience for dinner only.
The dress code here is Evening Classic or Elegant.
Mariachi Loco
Here you can indulge in authentic Mexican cuisine and enjoy the restaurant’s tequileria for an a la carte dinner, with seating inside and out. And yes, there’s a real mariachi band inside!! If you haven’t been serenaded over dinner, it’s quite an experience!
The dress code here is Casual Elegant.
McJestic
McJestic is an extremely casual, evening to late-night pick-up spot for fast food (did you catch their name? ;)). It’s is not a fine dining experience, but offers a few selections in the wee hours when you need a snack the most!
This is an outdoor pick-up window with some stools and tables nearby, and therefore has a resort casual dress code.
Beach Grill
Located at the entrance to the beach, you’ll find this self-service burger and hot dog stand. Perfect for grabbing a bite, re-applying sunscreen, and heading back out to soak up the rays!
Flavors Buffet
This is the main buffet restaurant that offers a wide variety of international food, along with several show cooking areas. The buffet is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and is one of my favorite buffets across all the resorts I’ve visited! There is both indoor (air conditioned) seating and outside seating on their patio.
For breakfast and lunch, the dress code is daytime casual.
For dinner, the dress code is casual elegant.
Mar House Restaurant
This beachfront restaurant offers panoramic views and a large, international buffet for lunch and afternoon snacks. Later for dinner, it transforms into an a la carte, cooked-to-order seafood restaurant. This is a great place for a rehearsal dinner!
For lunch and snacks, the dress code is daytime casual.
For dinner, the dress code is casual elegant.
Kabuki
This delightful Japanese restaurant offers two great options: Teppanyaki tables and a Sushi bar. Reservations are required if you want the fun experience of dinner at one of their 7 Teppanyaki tables, but the sushi bar inside with open seating can fill up quickly, too!
The dress code for Kabuki is resort casual.
Bistro
Here you can indulge in gourmet cuisine in an elegant, adults-only (18+), a la carte restaurant. This delectable dining experience is the only other one on-property that does require reservations.
The dress code for this 18+ restaurant is evening chic.
Do You Need Dining Reservations at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres?
In general, you do not need to make reservations for restaurants at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, with an exception of 2 specific restaurants, the french Bistro, and Kabuki – definitely for one of their 7 Teppanyaki tables, and even for the sushi portion of the restaurant if you don’t want to wait!
The exception to this rule is if you are traveling in a small group (6 or more), you’ll want to make reservations in advance so that they’ll be able to seat your slightly larger party without a long wait.
Room Service at Majestic Elegance
Room service is available at the resort 24/7, typically at no additional charge (though tipping is encouraged). However, from 12 am – 6 am, there is a $20 charge for delivery, only for guests staying in the family section.
Bars of Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres
There are 14 fabulous bars on this all-inclusive resort’s beautiful property, each with its own, unique vibe. Whether you love a party swim-up bar, want to enjoy a quiet glass of wine with a view, or throw one back while you watch the big game, there’s definitely something for everyone!
Please note that the drinking age in Mexico is 18, and this is strictly enforced.
Bars for all 18+ guests:
- Piano Bar
- Located in the upper lobby
- Open 7 am – 11 pm
- Often used for wedding events: usually the cocktail hour for bigger groups, or can serve as the reception area for smaller groups (this extends out into the attached balcony)
- Lobby Bar
- Located in the upper lobby, this is one of the most popular bars on the property, largely due to its central location and ample seating
- Open 3 pm – 1 am
- Sports Bar
- Located on Mexican Street (part of the main common area, near entertainment, restaurants, etc.)
- Open 6 pm – 2 am
- This is a great “after party” spot for destination weddings whose official end time is 11pm or earlier.. You can do what we did and continue the party in this fun spot filled with games and giant tvs showing sports!
- Theater Bar
- Located in the plaza
- Open 6 pm – 12 am
- Lively Bar (Swim-Up)
- Located in the main pool
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- This is the party bar!! With the right crowd, this spot can be quite boisterous and exciting!
- Glee Bar (Swim-Up)
- Located in the Family Section pool
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- Even the grown-ups of the family section need a drink every now and then, and this is the place for those folks, so they don’t have to leave their kids OR drag them out of the pool!
- Tiki Beach Bar
- Located at the entrance to the beach
- Open 10 am – 11 pm
- If you’re a true beach lover, you know it can be a pain to leave your perfect spot on the beach just to grab a drink. Luckily, the Tiki Bar is here for all your drinks-on-the-beach needs!
- Sky Bar
- Located in the upper level of the Main Pool
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- The Sky areas are an incredibly popular spot for wedding events, so this particular bar is often closed to resort guests for the privacy of wedding events. But if it’s open, this is a fabulous spot for having a drink with a gorgeous view of Costa Mujeres!
- La Tequilería
- Located at the entrance to El Mariachi Loco restaurant
- Open 6 pm – 10 pm
- This is the spot for tequila tasting! And if you don’t know yet, Mexico takes its tequila and tequila tasting events VERY seriously.. So get excited for a wonderful experience! (and grab some food after to soak it all up! 😉
Bars exclusively for Elegance Club Members (18+)
- Pure Swim-Up Bar
- Located in the Club Pool
- Open 7 am – 6 pm
- This is one of my favorite little spots, especially for those staying in the swim-up suites that open up to this pool. For guests staying in those rooms, this bar is just one door, a few stairs, and one pool away from your bedroom! If I was going to party with my friends at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, this would probably be where I did it!
- Soothe Swim-Up Bar
- Located in the Club Pool
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- Cheers Swim-Up Bar
- Located in the Club Pool
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- Infinity Swim-Up Bar
- Located in the club pool on the sky terrace
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- Wedding events often take precedent at this bar. But when it’s open, this bar is fantastic!
- Moon Beach Bar
- Located in the Club Pool nearest to the beach
- Open 10 am – 6 pm
- Again, I love that there are so many great options, so you’re never too far from a great drink, even at the beach!

Dress Code Requirements at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres
Hopefully you were paying attention, and noticed that each restaurant has its own dress code requirement. Now that you know what’s available, here are those dress codes that Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres requires, decoded!
- Daytime casual: shirt and shorts, or cover ups for ladies in swimsuits are required while inside the restaurant. Bare feet and wet clothes are not permitted.
- Casual elegant: Please avoid overly revealing attire. Shorts, pants, dresses, polos, dress shirts, tshirts (with sleeves), shoes and sandals are allowed.
- Evening chic: Please avoid overly revealing attire. If wearing a button up or polo shirt, a collar and sleeves are required. For men, long pants or bermuda shorts and closed toe shoes or elegant sandals are required. Flip flops, pool slides and t-shirts are not permitted.
