This unique ocean front resort has 547 suites, spread across three buildings: the Turquoize Tower (adults only), the Club Tower (with club level rooms), and the Pyramid building (for anyone – offering ocean & dolphin views).

Of course, because it is an all-inclusive resort, there are many standard inclusions, which you can read more about here.

To give you the gist, all food, drinks, snacks, pools, entertainment, and non-motorized water sports are definitely included in your all inclusive stay. But here are some specifics for all rooms at Hyatt Ziva Cancun.

Pyramid Building at Hyatt Ziva Cancun

We’ll start with the “standard” rooms, which are found in the Pyramid building. I love this building, especially for destination wedding groups, because you don’t have to sacrifice any quality to get a more affordable room, and in fact, sometimes the views are the best from here!

The views are absolutely stunning!! From the dolphin views closest to the dolphin habitat, to higher level ocean views, to ocean front views on the opposite, beach side of the building – there are no bad rooms in the Hyatt Ziva Cancun Pyramid building. Let’s look at the options!

Standard Room Categories at Hyatt Ziva Cancun – Pyramid Building

Resort View King or Double 

• 483 sq ft

The entry level room at Hyatt Ziva Cancun is “just” a resort view room. But remember, this entire resort is gorgeous, and is surrounded by water! Only five rooms in the entire resort don’t have at least a tiny bit of an ocean view. So even if you choose the most affordable room here, you’re still going to have a fantastic experience!

Ocean View King or Double 

• 483 sq ft
• Bedding options: One King bed + sofa bed OR Two Queen beds
• Max capacity: 4
• View: Ocean View
• Ceiling fan

At some resorts, “ocean view” simply means that you can technically see at least a sliver of the ocean, from some angle of your room. (Sometimes that angle is standing on a chair, craning over to see out of the corner of your window!) But that is not the case here!

At Hyatt Ziva Cancun, ocean view rooms truly offer a view of the ocean. It won’t be a direct view, like an ocean front room, but you will still have a nice view of the ocean. This is a huge selling point, especially for destination wedding groups* in which some guests will want more affordable rooms, but don’t want to be stuck with a crappy view. Enter the HZC ocean view room – checking every box!

Ocean Front King or Double

Ocean front rooms at Hyatt Ziva Cancun offer a STUNNING view. The pyramid building runs parallel to the beach, and each room has a direct view! Because this part of the resort is somewhat tucked away, there is also very little foot traffic here, offering a more private space to enjoy from your balcony!

Dolphin View King or Double 

• 598 sq ft
• Bedding options: One King bed + sofa bed OR Two Queen beds
• Max capacity: 5 
• View: Dolphin Habitat
• Ceiling Fan

Dolphin habitats are few and far between these days, especially at all-inclusive resorts in Mexico. If you or your littles enjoy watching dolphins, this is an incredible opportunity to do so, right from your room! I mean, dolphins are majestic and adorable – what a fun time!

But if you’re more like me and are concerned about the well-being of the dolphins, rest assured that Hyatt Ziva did not purchase or capture these dolphins. They inherited them when they purchased the property in 2015. I’m told they wanted to release the dolphins, but since they were bred in captivity, they couldn’t safely do so.

Dolphin Laws in Mexico

In June 2025, Mexican law mandated that people can no longer swim with dolphins, they cannot be bred in captivity, or used for entertainment purposes. So these days, the dolphins get to live out their lives in safety, but are not being ‘used’ for entertainment purposes. 

Swim-Up King or Double

These swim-up suites are incredible on their own – I mean, who doesn’t love having a semi-private pool steps outside their door!? But then you add in the ocean front view, and they are absolutely stunning. This is absolutely where I plan on staying during my next trip to Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

Ocean Front Lighthouse Suite 

• 624 sq ft
• Bedding options: One King bed + sofa bed 
• Max capacity: 4 
• View: Panoramic Ocean Front view
• Staircase entrance to the separated living room
• Private, furnished balcony with a panoramic views of the sea and the Punta Cancun lighthouse
• This is a brand new room category!

If you’re looking for a unique view in Mexico, this room is perfect for you! There are not many, if any other lighthouses in the Mexican Caribbean. If you’re over the ‘standard’ view, the Ocean Front Light House Suite at Hyatt Ziva Cancun will pull you right out of your rut!

Ocean Front Pyramid Suite 

• 1,316 sq ft – two stories
• Bedding options: One King bed + queen sized sofa bed 
• Max capacity: 5
• View: Direct, Ocean front view
• Ground floor includes a queen-sized sofa bed, dining area, full bathroom, and balcony
• Top floor includes a king-sized bed, sitting area, full bathroom, and balcony 
• Located in the Pyramid building

This stunning two-story suite would be absolutely perfect for a wedding couple or their friends and family. It would be the perfect place for half of the wedding party to get ready before the ceremony!!  It’s got lots of space to spread out, two full bathrooms, and two balconies, plus a gorgeous, ocean-front view. I can’t imagine a more wedding-party-friendly room category at Hyatt Ziva Cancun!

Next, let’s take a look at the adults-only section of the resort, the Turquoize Tower.

Turquoize Tower at Hyatt Ziva Cancun

The Turquoize Tower is the only adults only building of rooms at Hyatt Ziva Cancun. In addition to providing an adults-only room experience, it also comes with butler service and access to a few specific areas, including a rooftop infinity bar and pool.

Fun fact, the Turquoize rooftop infinity bar and pool have a live DJ a few times per week! 

All Turquoize rooms have a jacuzzi on their balcony, adding an extra special touch to a more romantic atmosphere!

The Turquoize Tower also has direct access to the spa! Just go down to the -1 floor, and you’ll be there! 

It’s perfect for those in your wedding group who want a slightly more child-free experience. Fair warning, it’s really only the actual building, and the infinity pool that are truly for adults only. Kids are still all around the property. 

It’s also important to know that only guests staying in Turquoize room categories have access to the Turquoize Tower – which is accessed with your room key / bracelet.

The Club Tower at Hyatt Ziva Cancun contains all Club Level room categories, and can only be accessed by guests staying in a Club Level room, with their room keys.
